    Dead?!

    I found my black silkie baby lying on the ground tonight. She didn't have any signs of outward trauma. We were thinking the dog, but the neck was not snapped, and no blood from something like a cat. But her crop was large and squishy. Any clues?

    Hello! I hatched 11 eggs over winter and ended up with ONE hen out of the bunch. She's getting a bit lonely without her boys. Both of us would love to give your sweet lady a good home. We're in Sacramento, willing to travel for the right gal.

    Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth. Do you know the complete benefits?!?!

    I clean my coop regularly, use Sweet PDZ to keep the moisture down, and never have had a problem with flies or mites.... I have not tried DE, but I am suspicious of anything that claims to cure this much. It is much more likely to be a snake oil than the panacea it claims to be.
