    When my EE laid her 1st egg, it was nearly as big as a goose egg. It had only one HUGE! yolk in it. That yolk was a big as a large chicken egg all by itself. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Poor girl, she was so little and the egg was so large I'm surprised she survived it.

    There were two more dark brown speckled eggs today from my Welsummer hen. Nothing from the Easter Egger. At least these were several hours apart. Thats 4 eggs in 2 days for her. The color doesn't lie.

    I have two hens. I checked their nest box at 11pm last night and there were no eggs. This morning however, there were three nice warm eggs in the nest box.
