Hello there,
It is possible that your one male isn't fertile yet or at all. Pigeons generally reach maturity at 6 months of age so he may not be quite ready yet to fertilize his hen. I would suspect that your one mated hen or even the other two hens are laying infertile eggs, on their own at...
Hi Nicole,
Well I was talking about actual floor space and without perches or nest boxes included in the actual dimensions. And don't forget when it comes to housing any animal, bigger is always better.
Hello,
It can take awhile, possibly months for a forced pair to mate up. Sometimes they simply won't, but this is rare. Give them more time still to start finding an interest in each other.
Hi Nicole,

You can get Ivermectin from the various pigeon supply houses, or it's often sold at farm and feed supply stores in rural areas. It's not cheap stuff but it's very effective and doesn't take much so it lasts awhile!

The dosage would would out to be 1 drop for a dove and 2 drops for a pigeon. 1 drop is .05ml If you keep your birds outside, then you'd probably want to treat them once in the spring before breeding and once again in the fall before winter.
Ivermectin injectable for swine is a very effective and safe wormer for pigeons. For a pigeon like a homer you would give it 2 drops from an eyedropper down it's throat. This would work out to be about .10mL of a dose. It kills most types of internal worms and also will kill several external...
I think it depends on the pair and whether or not they are very tame and pets. Normally, if you move a nest or babies from where the parents started raising them, they won't recognize them in a new spot as their own. In my opinion, it's best not to move any nests or babies to a new location...
King pigeons make very nice pets and oftentimes, there are lots of them needing homes. After the pyramid scam a couple of years ago with kings, many were rescued and taken to shelters. You should start searching there and if you're in the USA.
