Hey all, I have a broody duck who has been sitting for well over a month. I candled the eggs and they are developing, I did not see any rings of death. For the last 5 or 6 days she has been sitting and not leaving the nest as if she were on lockdown. Still no ducklings..... how long is...
Hi! So I had a chick hatch way ahead of what I was expecting. There is one more chick that should be hatching in a few days. The rest of the eggs are due to hatch in 12 days. How long can the chick be alone? Do I need to run to TSC and pick up some buddies for it or can it wait a few...
Looking for a little help here please! On the 12th I picked up some hatching eggs, candled when I got home and 2 eggs were already pretty developed. I'm guessing around 7-10 days under the hen? Here's how the most developed one looks when I candled it on the 18th, is it the right time for...
Ill keep monitoring! Should i try any more of thr flush or just leave as is?? He seemed excited for peas in the bath, I will be trying some of his feed after he gets out.
His vent looks like the white mucousy poop or goo is around it and his poop looks like the white/clear strands and sometimes it looks like he's pooping dirt chunks. He must br feeling somewhat better because he's doing little head dunks in the bath and he wasn't before
He doesn't seem much different :[ I have noticed he seems to be growing very sensitive towards his vent area, flinches when I pet him and sometimes if his tail touches the ground he jumps and flinches. Tail still turned downward. He is even flinching to bath water touching his behind area.
That's OK thanks so much! He's been drinking it down, going to switch to the electrolytes and vitamin water pretty soon. His poop is now alternating between clear liquid and black and sandy-like
No, I've never wormed him. Also, noted, thank you! I had read a few things suggesting those, luckily he spilled the bowl so its not in there with him anymore lol
He's about 2 months old . Its really hard to get a pic but this is the best i could do! It comes out white and a snotty consistency but then soaks into whatever he poops onto.
Hey yall, my Pekin duck, Wayne, is very sick and I don't know what to do! He was acting fine last night, eating and drinking and running around. Today he is lethargic, not eating, his tail is tucked down, seems to be having trouble breathing, and his poop is white and stringy/mucousy. I...
