    Black spots on combs

It’s possible my turkeys have pecked them, I don’t see the chickens aggressive between themselves. But they all started showing up at the same time.

    Black spots on combs

Now that you say that, my turkeys have been getting at them when I throw out scratch. But I haven’t seen much in the way of aggression other than that. And they all seem to be getting them at the same time.

    Black spots on combs

In the last week, I have noticed several of my chickens getting black spots on their combs. We are in Southwest Oklahoma so it has not gotten cold enough for it to be frostbite. They eat feed from a local feed store and their water is changed daily. they have a large coop and an extra large run...

Help identifying possible causes of “paralysis” in my chicken

It had grown with those bald spots from hatch. I didn’t get photos of poop but shortly after we brought it home from the coop it began having runny blood tinged poop and we suspected coccidiosis. The rest of our flock is now being treated to hopefully prevent any more sick chicks.

Help identifying possible causes of “paralysis” in my chicken

Thank you for your response! Shortly after we brought it home it began having runny, blood tinged poops. We suspect it was coccidiosis. Unfortunately this chick passed but we started the rest of our flock on Corid to hopefully prevent any other sick chicks.

    Dying chickens

Not all of them. It was eating some and leaving some. There were no obvious signs they had been attacked, but we also have ants and by the time we came in the morning they were being devoured by ants. The day before we put up the camera was the first time we found blood in the coop and we’d been...

    Fire ants

Will fire ants kill my chickens? We just found an infestation in our coop and are suddenly losing chickens like crazy. We’ve explored several different possibilities for their deaths and I guess now we’re grasping at straws, but I noticed the dead chickens are completely covered in fire ants.

    Dying chickens

I have not! Are you thinking snake? They eat dumor all flock pellets. We use a 5 gallon waterer from tractor supply but they also have a kiddy pool and a water bowl in the run. They have ventilated shade all day.

    Dying chickens

My flock has been taking a big hit. I haven’t seen any symptoms in my chickens but every other day or every day lately we have several chickens dead. We thought it was the heat so we took all measures necessary to help with that. Still dying. We reduced our rooster ratio. Still dying. We’ve lost...
