    Chicks kicking litter into waterer

I would suggest using a bucket with poultry nipples so they can't get to the water.

Can you tell the gender of these Brahmas?

so here is an updated picture. I think there may be blue partridge in them too. So i am assuming the one on the left is a roo? I can't tell if that is gold or red on the wing.

    Stupid question.

my mom always told me not to trust a cat who didnt drink milk.

    Stupid question.

yes, the cat was a vegetarian as well, and he was the kind of vegetarian who was sure to let everybody know it was for "moral" reasons. Somehow he could always slip his preference for carrots over meat in almost any conversation. He was no good at catching mice either. That's why we are...

First predetor loss today; what should I do to protect the rest of the birds?

You may consider adding hardware cloth dug 6 inches deep under your run wall. That will prevent the digging in the future.

    Is she just a mutt?

They do look like easter eggers, but I am not sure of the sex.

    Stupid question.

I had to give the cat Kentucky Whiskey or as he cause it Kentucky Whiskers.

my broody hen hatch some eggs

This looks like a Black Minorca. I am basing this on the ear lobe. i think they are considered rare and on the verge of extinction. The first rooster appears to be a cochin, I am basing that on the single comb and feathered feet. Your chicks are probably mix breeds.

If you could add two chickens to your backyard flock what would they be?

So here are the two Brahmas I just got. I got two because they were straight run, so I am just playing the odds.

Can you tell the gender of these Brahmas?

Please help me out with these partridge Brahmas. I bought two with the hopes one would be a pullet. The one closest to us acts more dominant, and the one in the back is very submissive so by behavior I would say the nearest is a cockerel and the other is a pullet. What do you experts think?

Can I Give Chicks Play Sand as Grit?

well that could make it really tough! And here I am complaining about our first cold snap.

Can I Give Chicks Play Sand as Grit?

They will find all the natural grit they need if you take them outside.

    Laying box for giant breeds

I honestly think you'd be surprised how little space they really need considering I sometimes have two, maybe three regular size chickens all snuggled together laying eggs in a single 12X12X14
