    My children have similar naming conventions. a bunny 2half (daughter was 2 & a half), a turtle Fruit (son was 4) & a pleco Snail Rot (son again at 7) 😆

    Thanks so much for the clarifications & explanations! Definitely reptiles aren't as flammable! I used ceramic heat bulbs for darkness at night since everyone deserves some darkness so I hadn't considered using visible light all night. I'm using a heat plate for chicks so mine will be safe 🤗

    I'm a sewer! I teach spinning more often than sewing. I'm new to BYC & I'm so excited to connect with other crafters! Having worked as a counselor in substance abuse treatment for 20 years, I concur that pillow cases are a great donation.

    I've I've heard that a million times about reptiles & fish! Nope! Eventually natural selection will change the locals of some species to best fit the environment but it takes generations.

    This one is really interesting to me. I've kept reptiles with heat lamps for over 30 years & have never heard of anyone having a fire. I do use quality equipment. Reading about folks checking brooders throughout the night every night blew my mind.

    Thank you for the post! Do chickens always need boiled water or (hopefully) just chicks? Is filtered water adequate? Is avian F10 disinfectant something to always add to their water? Throughout their life span? Thanks again!
