Rooster has flat yellow spot (photos included)

Got it thanks for the advice! I normally don’t touch the frostbite areas, when it happens they just normally heal on their own with time like you said.

The temp at night does drop around 15 degrees, however I bought the meter anyways as you do bring up a good point but my other chickens do not have any signs of frostbite, only this rooster and another golden comet rooster, all hens are fine with no frostbite

I think the both of you are right, as he has gotten into a couple scrapes but nothing dangerous before, just light ruffles

Hey everyone, My rooster has a small yellow spot on his crest, was wondering what it could be? I read fowl pox but it’s just flat, not sure if that makes a difference Notes: It’s been cold around 20-45 for a couple months, and he’s been eating and drinking fine

Just did another look but with someone helping me with a flash light and we verified with another chicken his throat looks good just some grass in both of their throats

    Rooster yawning and shaking head

I looked inside and saw no white spots or lesions, there was a single piece of grass but he’s been foraging throughout the day right now, he is also still continuing to do it, not to the same level but he opens his mouth a bit then shakes, still eating, drinking, and crop feels good

    Rooster yawning and shaking head

He is eating well, he always eats and drinks fine, when I touched his crop it felt soft on how it usually is, he also poops fine but sometimes poops watery but he’s been doing this for months now and acts fine

Base of my chicken feather looks off

Where would I get either, and just to confirm, the mites are most likely whats causing him to peck at himself and that is why he lost a couple feathers and had that scab?
