Hey there! I'm 32 just got married in July 2020. I have been into horses since i was 11, and currently own 1 nice older AQHA gelding. I've got a BS in Forestry, and work at an environmental laboratory as an general chemistry annalist.
I've recently started the chicken adventure, ordering from Meyers Hatchery. I have 5 light Brahmas (3 pullets, 2 cockerels), 5 buff Brahmas (4 pullets, 1 cockerel), and 1 bossy barred Plymouth rock pullet. I had only ordered 2 boys, but got a surprise third one, oops. All my boys are super sweet, so instead of getting rid of the extra, i just ordered more girls.
My goal for the little feathered monsters, is to have them as pets with benefits. So I've handled them all since they were 3 days old (would have been since day 2, but thanks USPS

). They all, so far, as very sweet and love attention and treats. Even the boys are cuddly.
I live in Anderson, CA, which is right next to Redding. We very rarely get snow that sticks, and the colder nights are usually in the mid 30's, but has the occasional 20's every now and then. Our summers are however very hot, like 100's for multiple days in a row.
