It sounds like you have to many males to females. I would (sad as it is) either butcher, rehome, or get him some ladies of his own. A drake (male duck) needs AT LEAST 4 hens EACH to prevent over-mating.

I'm not a construction expert but based on my run, you might wanna staple chicken wire to the underneath of the coop, cut a hole in the floor and have a little ramp underneath, in the back you could install the human door. I dunno, just a thought.

I have a small urban yard, about a quarter of the size of a football field, with a large dog run containing my chickens (and soon ducks) and the porch containing my quail and finches...
I wish I had a barn.

So I FINALLY got my ducklings in, one cayuga and one welsh Harlaquin from Metzer Farms, but there's only one problem...
they hate me.
When I enter their domain they peep and run to a far corner, when I try to pick them up they freak, all my chicks were friendly..and I...
