Thank you for your help. I have been doing this for a few years and this is the first egg like this. Its probably not going to hatch. I would be surprised if it does. UPDATE: I opened it and it was dead in the shell.
This egg that I have in the incubator I think is past its due date. It has weird circles in it as if there's a couple air cells. I don't see a lot of movement either. But I think I see a little breathing, maybe a chest breath. I don't know what to do with this egg. Maybe i will leave it another...
I have 2 that look alike except this ones wing feathers are rounded and slightly curved forward. Her feet have the same coloring of feathers and curved. She has a few black marks on her head and body. I am thinking a splash frizzle? Or is this just a genetic mix.? My other frizzles feathers are...
I have a satin feathered silkie like your last pic as well. So they are Sizzles and the feather types are; satin, frizzle regular. Is that right?
The one pic says satin frizzle. Is that the feather type?
i am consistently confused on sizzle and frizzles. what would you classify her as and the color category. her mom is black with the same feathers which i guess are frizzle? dad is a redish regular silkie. she is 4 weeks old
well i am not sure if my hen is a sizzle or frizzle. she has the same feathers. Still researching. I did read that sizzles have 5 toes and are silkie in every way and frizzles have 4 toes. Dont know how true that is though. Cant believe everyones opinion on the internet.
Hen has the same feathering this chick does.Just to add, I do have a satin silkies also who could be the mom. Rooster has regular silkie feathering. So in my research this would be a sizzle?
