I’ve read it can take them up to 3 days to even be interested in eating or drinking due to the size of their yolk! I feel like I’m being a helicopter mom because I have been trying to hatch one since last November and this is our first hatched. I can do 21 days for chicks but 50 for emu is hard😂
Baby emu hatched today. Any advice for the 1st week? Hasn’t ate or drank but did poop. Sleepy but still gets up and tries to stand. Two more wiggling in the incubator🤞🏼
It does look like it in the picture but in person it was just how the yolk seemed to separate creating deeper lines. These eggs I had shipped so hopefully picking some up solved my problem. I am checking my temps and humidity with several different hygrometers this time as well just to rule that...
Thank you! So far no movement at all😞 I’ve been told some never have the wiggles and still go on to hatch and the eggs do have the thump sound so I am really crossing my fingers.
