Hello, I hope someone can help me with this question... I have a broody hen sitting on some eggs. The problem is that her roommates (A Buff Orpie and Silkie) are always trying to lay in the same box as she, to lay their own eggs, which results in her getting pushed off of her eggs. There is...

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on her. What if she does quit half way through? Then why should I do? Would my Silkie go broody if I stuck eggs under her?

    Gender guess?! Hen or roo?

Well now that I've been doing this for a little while and have discovered a Roo of my own, I see how Foghorn can be a roo. Big red comb and waddles! I've got a Frizzle Cochin who is around 8 weeks old but started crowing at week 5. It's so funny! I hope he's the only one!!
