    Are they just enjoying the night air here in Arizona? I know I am! LOL Never had that happen to ours, not sure. Did you replace with the same kind of bedding? Did you clean with a chemical?

    One bad egg and then nothing??....

    Just under three weeks ago I found an egg in the coop with 3 and 4 month olds. It was yolk only no white. there are 18 of them so no idea who it came from. So anyway, nothing since. Was her body just developing and one just popped out?

    Oh Im so sorry. This same thing happened to us. As bgates1990 said, they WILL be back if you don't do something about it. Im so glad your son was not home, mine were at school as well.

    I was really good yesterday. I called my DH and begged for three little chicks to be home for Easter company to enjoy. He finally gave in and said we could go on Saturday. Well it just so happened that when I made that call I WAS IN THE FEED STORE! LOL. Came home with them.

    My girls turned out to be boys. They are sweet, I just don't have it for 4 roos. Im in the NW Phx Metro area.

    Thank you. My DH surprised me with them from the feed store. I really love them but just can't keep 4 roosters. I guess I could sweet talk him into another coop and run.

    I found another post of barred rock and it seems mine are boys too. I only have 10 girls so I will need to re-home if these are really boys. Ideas anyone? If boys, no charge to anyone wanting one in the Phoenix area. They are right around 15 weeks

    Oh darn, the kids have been waiting and watching for someone to be as excited as they were to watch it. It really is worth the watch.
