Thank you so much! I agree with all that you have said, except on the second picture, far left side, the black chicken has brown/rusty colors coming out of its feathers. The Australorp on the other side only has plain, black feathers. Please help
I have 3 White Leghorns that I acquire from the local FFA last May. They were already laying by the time I got them because they were hatched at last October.
They were consistent layers (3 eggs per week) up until the beginning of August. Since then, they have completely stopped laying eggs...
She has already been quarantined, but as everyone is saying, my next step is to separate them, but keep them in each other's sights. I might also try to get another hen or 2 to alleviate the pressure on 1 bird. Thank you!

Hi! This is an update regarding an earlier post I made about integrating new birds into an existing flock. I put her in last night in the coop, and they all made it through this morning when suddenly, my two ISA Brown hens just went at her and did not stop until I intervened.

3-4 weeks sounds about right! I'm kinda disappointed I might have a roo, since that one has the most unique coloration :( I'll do another post in a few weeks to update!
Help! I just got assorted egg layers from a local feed store. I need help Identifying them. I just know I have 4 different breeds and that's it :P
Also you may not see it but the black chick is starting to grow a bit of brown or copper color at the tips of the new feathers. Thanks again!

I know that the chickens can get rough on the newbie, but at what point do I separate them? Are there signs or a time span of when I should intervene on the initiation before serious damage is done to the new bird? And how long will it take for the initiation to last before my...
