    Have you examined her for egg bound. Check her crop in the morning before she eats or drink to see if her crop is empty. Has she been dewormed with safeguard? It could be anything.

    I have had a hen that always done that, she is being the dominate hen. She will continue to be a normal hen. I even have hens that try to crow. They don't sound that great when they try.

    Necropsy of my Lav. Orp. whom I found dead this A.M. 12/14/14

    Is this the heart that is almost black, it seems very dark to me, I suspect it shouldn't look that way, however, I really don't know. Miy hen also didn't have hardly any blood as well when I did her necropsy. I would think there should be blood.
