Thank you for that, we used the aquasol, and before that was ivermectin. It seems like the aquasol did do something as now most the birds have normal poop. The equimax is this something I can get at like tractor supply. Or Amazon? Where would you recommend? Thanks again for chiming in I feel...
Hi all we treated our flock of 7 after seeing white specks of what looked like worms in their poop.
It seemed to do well but one still has it. The small dose “Chicken” bottle is quite pricey compared to the same larger ones for goats. Can anyone recommend the dose or maybe a better alternative...
I was highly recommended to give my sick hen tiagard which just came in the mail this morning, my bird doesn’t have runny eyes, and only exhibits sleepyness, she had diarrhea twice yesterday, and a solid poo this morning, if I put my ears close to her beak I can hear her breathing, it doesn’t...
So this morning she had a solid
Poo. It didn’t stink like the last ones, she had a bite of food, and a drops of water. She is still acting super lethargic. It doesn’t seem like she has labored breathing, more so just super sleepy.
The Tiagard just showed up, but I’m completely at a loss as to...
No she doesn’t have a sour smell at all. She’s just really sleepy acting right now. She actually ate a good amount of food just now, it was her scratch that was moistened with water. I’ve also been giving her water with a syringe close to her beak and she has been drinking it. I gave her some...
I didn’t feel an egg, and gave her some coco oil as well. Others on FB recommend Tiagard. What are your thoughts. She’s been pretty sleep all day. Am I gonna lose my bird?
Is this for the egg or the possible crop impaction? What are you using for lube? What happens if I feel an egg? Thank you so much btw! She’s been real mellow and sleepy since her last poo
Aside from feeling her underside, which feels nice and squishy, I read to actually stick my finger in her vent but not really sure what to check for how to handle it etc.
Here is the poo.
Also she seems a lot more relaxed after that last poo
Hi thank you for the response. She is a year old. So I think what I’m feeling might be her anatomy as it feels symmetrical. She just poo’d again. And it was not as bad as the first. Just before she did that she was breathing with her beak open, but no sounds of struggle or rasp. After the poo...
I’ll post some pics shortly, but I’m having a bad day right now because my favorite buff Orpington is not feeling good. I’ve posted to the emergencies thread if anyone has any ideas of how to save her.
