    Khaki Campbell ducks gender

You can also hold them and lean them back to invoke a loud quack (female) or raspy quack (drake). My drake’s drake feather came in super late and was able to sex via sound first

    Need help on breeds!

Look like they could be khaki or Rouen . Tractor supply has a section on their website to order breed specific or they display assortment. Google lens is a very helpful tool to compare your photo to others online which should help narrow down to the specific breed

Anyone know why my duck raises her feathers like this when people go near her?

I was about to ask the same thing. My broody welsh harlequins do this and it started when they went broody.

If I take newly hatched ducklings from their mother for the night, will she take them back in the morning?

I also grow mint and lavender all around the coop and run to help deter rodents. Pinch leaves in the morning and night to increase the mint aroma. Dryer sheets help as well. Find scents rodents don’t like and it will help - key word help- keep them away.

If I take newly hatched ducklings from their mother for the night, will she take them back in the morning?

Yes- she will take them back. She might be a little noisy until they are back with her. I recently had four hatch and with the heat here, I’ve been giving them breaks inside to make sure they stay hydrated and the mom waits for them to come back.

Hello! I have a year old Pekin drake in need of a new flock. The male to female ratio isn't compatible and he is too large for the Welsh Harlequins. Very calm, quiet, sociable and only really needs his kiddie pool to be happy. Located in Kansas City.
