    Refusing to use shelter

    Thanks, I’ve decided to move them to a winter shelter ( rabbit hutch) so they are better protected from weather and I had what it looks like a rat that somehow got in and stole one quail. Will reconstruct the aviary on spring.

    Have only seen frost on the grass in my front garden, didn’t see any frost on the wall or path so far.

    My cpq are refusing to use the shelter in their outdoor aviary. It’s been frosty overnight the last 2 days. I’ve got them since April and they always slept in the run, however it’s never been frosty. Are they going to be ok or shall I add a heat plate.

    Yes they are in the living room which is in the other side of the house so no where near the kitchen. I always use extract fan when cooking. Dom my pans are ceramic or steel don’t have any non stick Teflon pans ( they damage to easy) The others were not assisted. no bedding or food wet or...

    I add vinegar to my chickens and adult quails but I am not sure from what age I can add it to the quail chicks. The older ones are now 3 weeks old and the younger ones 3 days.
