I noticed one of our rescue quails, "Autumn", with a big bloody bump on her beak in late May. We separated her shortly after. A couple weeks later, another one of our girls, "Summer", developed a much smaller black bump. They're currently living together, isolated from the rest of the flock...
Thanks for the reply! Crowing is fine with us, as long as it’s not a sign that he’s in a lot of distress. We just want him to be happy.
Sadly no, we can’t presently rehome him. He’s special needs and requires a lot more care than most.
