If you want to help a breed of chicken or fowl, that's admirable. I would suggest going through the Livestock Conservancy, they keep lists of livestock that needs some support.
Try King and Sons Poultry? They do small batches fairly cheap IMO. Never raised meat birds before but thinking of it more and more.
It's not exactly in Dayton but it's not terrible far.
Here's their website:

I hope this was helpful and good luck...
Those poops are fine! If it's cocci the poo will be darker red and more liquid than solid. To be safe, I would pick up Corid. Sulfa does NOT treat all nine types of cocci that can affect chickens, just two. Corid takes five to seven days to run its course. You can find it at Rural King with the...
Be careful sexing Barred Rock! Even the girls get big combs early. If it is bright pink or reddish then I would say you are right. The Wyandotte doesn't really scream roo, but the waddles do look a touch pink. Our Wyandotte cockerel went from pale to fire truck red overnight.
X2 , I'd say the white one in the back is for sure a cockerel. The others look like pullers but watch their comb/waddle development. Checking their waddles is as easy as peeking under their beak, if you see red stripes that means cockerel at this age. Good luck!
5-6 weeks is a little small to integrate with full grown birds IMO. I would build a pen for them near or inside your pasture. Somewhere where the bigger girls can "meet" their new roomies without viciously pecking at them. If you really don't want to build something, try adding some hiding...
Welcome to the world of chickens, first of all! Your lot looks very nice. I'm not going to touch on the Leghorn, Sex link or the Wyandotte because I don't have any experience with those breeds and cannot make an educated guess on their sex. Now, your RIR looks very pullet like to me. Nice long...
They both look like pullets to me! No reddening on Snowy and Cookie doesn't appear to have much comb. Cookie's tail looks like a hen tail to me. Just my best guess as I'm still learning myself.
A ways back (three weeks ago) we acquired six chicks sold to us from TSC as 2 Barred Rock and 4 ISA Brown - all sexed pullets.
We realized three days later that the 2 "Barred Rocks" weren't standard fowl but some form of bantie, and not probably barred rock. As for the other four, one turned out...
