    I am on the central coast of California. By the way, rat body count is up to 5. Does not count any that ate the poison and left. One got into the poison and died in the middle of my back yard though. I also have not seen any more rats in the coop or seen anymore evidence of rats in the coop...

    After finding 3 rats in the coop last night i declared war on all rodents. First confirmed kill came tonight. I believe it is some type of wood rat (packrat). I will post pics if i am allowed to the picture isnt that graphic just a dead rodent. Let me know if i can post it as i i would like...

    I have some extra 1/2 hardware cloth which I will use to make the the house is secured up. It might sound weird but seeing those things in with my chickens fired me up and I need to kill some rats!
