The 'Lotsa Poop Chicken Coop' ***Poop Drawer Update***

The ungrateful little peeps! Maybe they saw how much sweat and beer went into making the poop drawer, they are afraid to poop on it!

Apple Cider Vinegar and Chicken Nipples

How much Apple Cider vineger do you add to 5 galons of water? I have just set a water feeder with the nipples and want to keep the water clean and slime free

    Post your CITY coop pictures!

I have a small yard but did fit this coop against the back fence. We can see it from our kitchen/living room, so can be entertained by the chicks. it is 4' by 4' and we have 4 hens. As you can see, my son likes to play in it as well. The run next to it is 4 feet by 8 feet

training to walk up and into the coop at night?

I have 4 chicks, two are 6 weeks old and two are 4 weeks old and we just moved them to the coop 4 days ago. Plexiglass Brooder?

Depends for how long. We had our 2 chicks in a 24" x 24" cardboard box Brooder for the first 3 weeks, and by then they had outgrown it, and we moved them into a dog pen, 36" x 36" for the next 2 weeks.

    Hello from Silicon Valley CA.

Sharp eyes Fierlin, the caption on the photo was incorrect, the chicks were about a week old when it was taken, not a day old. Thanks for the warm welcome and I will do a better write up of my coop construction with more photos once it is completed

    Hello from Silicon Valley CA.

After a neighbor came by a few weeks ago, mentioning she was taking a class on raising backyard chickens, my wife and I thought it was something we could do also. Well after a bit of internet research, I found this site and have learnt so much, I couldn’t wait the 5 weeks for the class, so went...
