    Anyone wants a Silkie Rooster

Awww thank you so much for your help. I do greatly appreciate it. That does gives me a lot of piece of mind as I was thinking that they might get beat up because they are small. But if you tell me that you think they will do just fine. That is just great. I was so hard on myself first because I...

    Anyone wants a Silkie Rooster

I am in Delray Beach, Florida and he is Gold and the little girl is Grey with black streaks. One of my friends neighbor took them in on Saturday. She lives in Davie and they can have any kind of animals on their property so everyone has chickens and other farm animals. My friend didn't know...

    Anyone wants a Silkie Rooster

We can't have chickens where we live so I got these cuties because they are small and thought both were hens but he started crowing but at first he was just doing it in the mornings and evening but now since he is getting older he does it almost 4-5 times in the day. So people are noticing it...

    Broody Silkie

Yes there are only two, don’t have a lot of room in the backyard due to a big lake so made a little area for them. I am going to get another hen soon.

    Broody Silkie

I only got two thinking they were hens. We don’t have a lot of room in our backyard to keep more due to lake. But she came out of her mood. And laid her first egg today so now I know what to do.

    Anyone wants a Silkie Rooster

I have to let my rooster go because I can’t keep him due to him crowing in my neighborhood. He is a very good boy and is only 8 months old and very active and healthy. Please let me know. Thank you.

    Broody Silkie

The rooster is more aggressive now then before and I don't want him to peck at her that hard and beat her up as he is only 7 months old as well. But she is doing what comes natural to her so when I put her down and she wants to eat and drink her water, he is right by her trying to corner her. So...

    Broody Silkie

She is only 7 months old so I think she is really young to sit on eggs but what do I know. This is my first time so I am checking with you guys. I just want her to be happy as she was before. She is such a good hen and always happy and running around scratching and all. Now, all she does is sit...

My 7 month old hen name Greyson (aka Gracie) has been laying eggs for a month now and of course that is when we found out our other chicken was a rooster :) She usually lays an egg every day and may skip a day in-between but she has not laid any eggs for the last 4 days and been sitting inside...

My lil girl is a BOY!!!

I am really new at all of this... I have gotten two Silkies baby chicks in April and they told me that both were girls since we wanted them for Eggs. And just last week, my gold one "crowed". I ran downstairs to check on my babies as I was hoping I heard something else. But then he did it again...
