22 Week Old Hen - Right foot turned inwards

So we've isolated her to our brooder to limit her movement. She's eating and drinking normal and seems to be in good spirits but is limping on her right foot. I don't see anything on the bottom of her foot (see attached image) and no noticeable injury to her leg that I can see. I made a...

22 Week Old Hen - Right foot turned inwards

Thank you for the prompt reply, I give this a shot. We’ve separated her from the rest of the flock as they had already started tormenting her. Crazy animals!

22 Week Old Hen - Right foot turned inwards

Other than being twisted inward she limps on it and shows obvious signs of pain. Diet consists of Kalmbach 20% flock maker crumbles, Kalmback Henhouse Reserve as scratch. They get fresh vegetables every couple of days, yesterday they had two large tomatoes.

22 Week Old Hen - Right foot turned inwards

We noticed one of our 22 week old hens this morning limping in the coop. It seems her right foot is turned inwards and she is limping on it. She was fine last night at 8:00PM and reviewing the coop cameras I don’t see any incidents that could have caused this. While I don’t expect this to be a...

    Fall/winter feed

I have a flock of 17 who turned 18 weeks old this past Saturday, they've been fed Kalmbach all natural non-GMO 18% protein start right chick feed. One of my brown leghorns started laying last Friday and has since laid every other day. I'm looking to switch their food but as every new keeper has...

    Bumblefoot questions-Help please

This is unfortunate to hear. In two weeks my chicks will arrive, as a new/first time chick dad I’m trying to run all of the possible scenarios that can happen to my chicks when left unattended. The coop will be fortified but it’s the run that I’m still constructing in my mind that will be my...

    Converting metal building to coop

I think the pine shavings would be the easiest to clean out periodically, if needed I could always add some straw as you mentioned.

    Converting metal building to coop

I have a metal building that I'll be using a portion of for my coop. The building is on a concrete foundation (critter dig proof) and I'm looking for recommendations on what to put on the ground so that they aren't walking on the hard concrete. I've considered clean sand, pine shavings or hay...

What kind of dog do you have!?

Here's my crazy Shar-Peis... The two on the outside are brothers and the center one is a "break-up" dog that my daughter bought and somehow became ours.

    Greetings from Deltona Florida

I figured I've been lurking long enough and with my first chicks arriving in a few weeks I decided to become a member to post some questions that have probably been asked numerous times already. I do my best to search for what I'm looking for and have had great success with vast amount of...
