I've got one hen that stays out late to forage...well after the rest go up...is this a sign that she's not getting enough to eat and needs the extra foraging time, or is she just a night owl (so to speak) ;) she's a low ranking hen and often gets ran off by the others while feeding...any...
I'm using a blackberry 9310 curve with version 7.1.0 browser...I don't know any more details than this...I can click on the photo link, browse my photos, select an image, click it, and then I get a message saying "embedding image" but after the wheel stops spinning I see no photo anywhere...am I...
Yep...a lot of coyotes here too...but I've got big dogs outside (and a rifle inside) to keep the coyotes at bay...I worry more about skunks, hawks and eagles than coyotes...my birds are living high on the hog here...this is an area where chickens are raised commercially for processing, and kept...
Actually the coop I have now is just big enough to house the adult birds I have...they free range in a 40x60 fenced yard and my coop is 10x10x6...I will be building a larger coop for the new additions soon and be opening up the fence to double the space for my birds to forage...we live in a big...

This is interesting, but a lot of us do use mobile and we're getting the short end of the stick "so to speak"...I can barely use the site as is on my blackberry and would like to ask someone in charge here to put some extra effort into making the site more mobile friendly..thanks in advance!
Kevin
My coop has 2 doors...if I add 2 more will I have to call it a sedan? :D jk love the site and glad I joined...now if only I could figure out how to navigate here and use all of the features I'd be set! ;)
My best guess on the predator issue would be skunk...they are well known in this area to do just that...tearing the heads off of the chicken and leave the body laying...and yes they are a member of the weasel family ;) my coop is 8 inch thick concrete with an 1 1/2 thick wooden door that scrapes...
