    Do they stop laying when they're going broody? And yes she roosts at night. When she is in the nest trying to lay or whatever she's doing, she talks to me when I look in, never did that before

    yes, every weekend we have an egg hunt. Sometimes someone will lay in the goat house but not always. As for the moulting, one poor girl has been molting for 2 months, but I don't see any feathers from the rest that indicates that they're still moulting

    october, wow. Well, we live in the pacific northwest and sun has not been out alot. They have almost an acre of land to scratch around on. Plenty of fresh nibbles, and 18% feed. So I guess we'll have to wait and see.

    Great info, I have a broody banty hen. She's not mean. I can pick her off the nest, but she always goes back. Now I know what to do!!!
