Hi,
I have had Silkies for about two years and just love them. These is my main rooster and one of his sons. My daughter trimmed his tail feathers when trimming some hens.
Mine are not heritage but I am getting some from Mumsy in the spring. She has Ron Foggle,s line. I think that is how you spell his last name. I am also getting heritage Silver Penciled Rocks in the spring. :)
I just hatched out 10 RIR's and a silkie had a 100% hatch on the RIR's. I have 25 more eggs in the incubator. I am hoping all my hatches go like this one.
Hi,
I live in Port Orchard. I have RIR's one Silver Penciled Rock hen and Silkies. There are a lot of us in this area. Welcome and enjoy the thread.

The eagles fly over my house every day now. The one today was at the top of a 90ft tree. It was just looking for a easy meal. My chickens were frozen even in the coop.
Thank you PEI for the nice comments. The great city of Port Orchard is in Washington State. It is on the western side of Puget Sound across from Seattle. It is also where the show Cedar Cove is about.
This is my only SPR and I am trying to get more from Mr.Horstman. Please everyone tell me what you think. I am new to grading chickens. She is 19 weeks old. We had eagles in the area so they could not come out i had to hold her for pictures.
Hi all,
I do not know if everyone knows because of the being at the show this weekend, but Bob Blosl passed away on Friday. The chicken world has lost a great asset and a very great man.

She is 12 weeks old. I was thinking her legs may be to far back what do you think. Thank you for looking at her and the compliment on her. I am new to rocks but I love the size and temperament. I will be getting more SPR from Mr. Horstman next month.
