    Chicken eye injury vs infection?

Thank you for your help! I don’t mind if she’s blind in one eye. She’s grown fairly good at using her good eye to track what is going on around her (mostly to avoid me, as she’s terrified of me after all of the medication.) I just want her to stop suffering. The eye seems very tender and...

Her eye seems to be getting worse. We’ve been using Veterycin + and Vet rx. Any ideas?

    Chicken eye injury vs infection?

Hi, folks! I noticed that our sweet Buttercup (our 3-month-old buff) was walking around with her eye shut the day before yesterday. Upon inspection, the eye was cloudy. She could open it on her own, but preferred to keep it closed. We had heard a protesting sound earlier in the day (and after...

Hispanic/Mexican accent. Lol. I think they're both Roos too, especially given their personalities, leaner build, slower feathering, and combs & waffles. Thanks for your replies. :)

They're only 2 birds. I just realized I didn't specify. I was trying to show back feather patterns to compare to combs and wattles. The first two are the same bird and the third and fourth are another bird. The farm store wasn't sure, because they were born free range on the farm. But one of...

It's definitely bigger and redder than her sister's... At what point do the girls get red combs? My mom's Rhode Island Red hens have red combs, but are full grown.

Thank you so much! Yes, they'll be devastated, especially with the Easter eggers. They're their favorites. My reds are so friendly and sweet that I'm in denial on the last one with the red comb...
