    I asked my daughter, the 2nd grade teacher, about the bandaids and she says they are allowed to do it in Alabama schools. They have to notify the parent that they did and if it is more than a scratch they have to be taken to the doctor by the parent.

    CT is quicker and will show fractures and bleeds. MRI is more detailed and will show more subtle changes in the brain. Waiting is the hard part.

    Good morning, Granny. I hope you will get some rest while Tom is being cared for. The doctor will probably want him to go to a rehab facility for long term treatment of the bed sores. Putting a loved one in long term care is a heartbreaking decision but sometimes it's for the best.

    From what I have read we shrink as we age because the disc between our vertebrae flatten as we age. Osteoporosis also contributes to loss of bone density making vertebrae weaker and may cause them to crack and flatten. Changes in muscle mass and posture can also contribute to us getting shorter.
