    Need help with the breed, guessing cockerel with the size of comb and wattles at 7 weeks old and has light pinkish legs. When i pick it up doesn't feel feathery like other 7 week olds, feels fluffy.

    When do chickens lay?

    I have 10 chickens all 22 weeks old,3 white rocks started laying at 17 weeks, 3 Red sex links at 18 weeks, 2 barred rocks just started and 2 RIRs 1 started about 19 weeks and 1 still not laying. All eggs before noon.

    I have 10 laying hens, very seldom do I get any poo on an egg. I do not wash but do put in frig.

    I have 3 WRs that started laying, first egg 17 weeks 1 day old by 18 weeks old all 3 laying. Now waiting for RIRs, BRs and RSLs to start now 18 weeks 3 days old

    How early have your birds started laying?

    I have 10 chicks, 2 BRs,3 WRs,3RSLs, and 2 RIRs all 17 weeks and 1 day old. Got my first egg today. Not sure who laid it. It's a bit small but its a start.

    NY chicken lover!!!!

    Need to get rid of a RIR rooster, I can not have a roo, 11 weeks old. I'm hoping that someone will take him to give him a home, and by home I don't mean the freezer. I live in Caroga Lake NY, message me if interested . Randy
