I have Hank a Barnevelder and he is such a gentleman, when the chicks were born he sat down and called to them softely, he shows the girls the best nest boxes to go to and he greets me at the gate everytime I go there, if I have a treat in my hand he pecks gently and calls the girls. HELP! Mama didn't accept chicks
I had2 hens hatch out babies and a couple of days later another hen hatched out 3 babies the first hen actually hunted out the new babies and tried to kill them, I took her out and let the other hens sort it out they were calm and accepted all the babies thankfully- ravenhead

I just started back up again with my latest flock, they are called Hank and the girls Hank and two of the hens are Barnvelders, 3 lavender orphington, 2 black orphingtons, 2cinnamon orphingtons, 3gold laced wyandottes- ravenhead
