    Late January Hatch?

    Yes that batch has passed, the egg was not feetile, I saw nothing but the yolk inside after candling so I opened it up to see an infertilegg.... good news is my new batch had one hatch yesterday....waiting on 3 more today..I'm eggcited lol.

    Thanks....mom is barred rock and dad is black copper maran....I looked to see if I could tell by looking for the "bump" but didn't see one or didn't do it right....guess I'll see in 3 or 4 months lol.

    Do I have a new baby boy or girl? I have read that girls have dark legs and boys light color legs, also that boys have white spot on top of the head but so do girls sometimes....mine has a white spot and dark legs...also it's hard to tell by wings.its day one too...tell me what you thing?

    I candle them with a bright flashlight in my walkin closet. I have a digital thermometer and it shows temp and humidity which have stayed at 99-101 and 35-45%. I does not have a fan..its a Styrofoam cooler I made. I haven't smelled any bad odor yet so thats a good sign. I didn't do a test of the...

    Im hatching eggs for the first time and no on day 14. my temps and humidity are good and i rotate 3 times a day but hen i candle them i see a mass inside that moves around as i rotate the egg. i see no veins though. the egg is brown so i thought maybe it as just hard to see veins but no movement...
