They have plenty of shade and ventilation. I will start trying the ice blocks in the watered. We are in Maryland and are experiencing a heat wave right now. It was a black chick that we lost and I am thinking it was from the heat. Thank you everyone for the advice and suggestions.- rbncourtney

My chicks have not been exposed to others. We only lost one yesterday. The others seemed fine yesterday evening and today. I am thinking it is the heat. We are giving them fresh feed and water twice a day.- rbncourtney

I have 9 (plymouth rock and rhode island reds) chicks that are 1 1/2 months old. All were fine and running around this morning.
