    I just think on the crested it hides the comb. The pullets definitely develop slower.

    I have 3 light phase SFH hens one is all white with blue highlights. The white one is a bit flighty but a sweetheart wants to be with me all the time another is normal and one sits on the roof outside of the coop waiting to be owl food. I have wrangle her up. She's not a care in the world. Lol

    I had 7 and 4 were roosters. The combs on the roos start to turn pink and a started growing the girls stayed small and pale almost white for quite a while.     I have some SFH cockrels I will need to find homes for. I also have 2 Birchen Marans cockrels all from greenfire farms. I am in S. CAL if anyone is interested.. I live in a residential are and cnt keep the roosters. :(
