Thank you so much for all the info. Thankfully it will be close to keep an eye on (for grounding issues) and I will plan on adding a couple hot wires at heights of predator faces, etc. thanks again!
I can definitely do 6” and 18” height. I have dogs in a run that always climbed fences until I put a hotwire on the top so I was assuming some animals would climb over not just hop.
There will not be overhead protection. They will be locked up in the Racken house at night and I keep a guard goose to help deter as well.
It will be non-electrified on the 4’ high of 2x4 woven wire with a single strand of electrified wire at 6”-8” from bottom of outside perimeter and 4’6”...
We have a 10’x12’ Raken house close to our residence that I would like to build a 200 sqft fence around to give more space for chickens outside of the Raken house. The plan is to use 4’ 2x4 woven wire fencing with a strand of electrified high tensile 6” above the WW.
Thoughts on if this height...
