    I think she is a black star. Not for sure. She has bn an amazing egg layer but this is incredible!

    My sweet little girl laid an egg for the first time in a year or two! Is this a miracle or does it happen more often than I realize? She laid eggs consistently for 7 years. Just curious! She will be 9 years old in less than a month.

    Thank you for the advice. I always want to do what is best for my girl. I have not had chickens before and was just unsure of what would be best. I will begin the process of breaking her asap. Again thanks!

    I am concerned for my hen. She was broody for the fist time about 8 weeks straight, took about 2 moths off (laid eggs for a couple of weeks) and then started back to broody about 2 weeks ago. She is our pet and we have no issues with her not giving us eggs. I just don't want her to get sick...

    I know this was a long time ago but I ran across this post and wanted to say I am so so sorry. My baby is about the age to start laying eggs and she is acting funny. I am scared to death she will have problems. I am so sorry you lost your Ashes!

    7 week chicks losing feathers!?

    Mine is 16 weeks and still losing tons of feathers but looks healthy. She's been losing a ton for a few weeks now and I am wondering when it will end. It's kinda crazy!

    Hi! This is my girl. I think she is a black star but not sure. I was wondering how big black sexlinks get. Avery is 2.8 pounds at almost 12 weeks. How big do you think she will get? Thanks in advance for any feedback!
  8. This is Avery. She was the last chick to hatch at my daughter's pre-k class and was having a hard time so the teacher gave her to me to help her out. As you can see she has done great!
