    So since these genes are recessive, they should also produce chicks that inherit no melanin enhancing genes, as well as recessive carriers correct?

    Chick weight milestones - too fat? 😂

    If cinnamon is a cream legbar like you say, she is definitely a girl. Cream legbars are sexable at hatch, the boys will have a yellow dot on their head and the girls will not. I can tell by the pattern on her wing feathers that she is a little pullet.

    Ok back to Marans lol, what are your initial thoughts on this guy. He hatched alongside that Blue Cockerel. He looks to have gotten into a bit of a fight so disregard his comb, it looks much better now.
