So I have an update. Yesterday we noticed that it is more than the one girl that was quarantined. Started treating last night with Corid for the whole flock. Checked this afternoon and there was only a few spots of the brown foamy cecal compared to 15 or 20. So hopefully within the next 3-5 days...
Well according to the pictures, her cecal looks normal. I will still keep her separated until I can find a place to send a sample out to. Oh the joys of raising. Im getting worked up over every little thing. Like having 13 new puppies lol.
Ok, so this is weird. I put each bird in the cage separately until they did their business so I could find out who it was. Well, I just checked on her and her poop is normal now. Is it possible to have diarrhea at one point and then go back to normal and then diarrhea again?
Thanks for the info. I'll keep her in the cage toonight and monitor her. Not sure of any mail order poop checkers. Glory seems fine, she still hangs out inside. I renovated the coop this morning and built the nesting boxes on the outside of the coop. I'll see in a few days if she lays.
I'm glad my misfortune is helping others. Lol. I'm hoping we can resolve this soon. This is the first time I've had chickens, so it's a learning process the whole way. Trial and error, I just don't want any of my mistakes to kill any of the girls. I'm going to clean the coop tomorrow and put in...
I'm not sure who it's from. I just discovered the foamy stuff today. But Glory is the one that has been staying in the coop mostly and stopped laying last week. I'll get her in a cage tomorrow and bring her in so I can monitor her.
I am, she hasn't laid in a week and usually stays perched. She will come out to the run to dust bath exercise. I got her to eat from my hand earlier today. I will pull her first and see if she is having the diarrhea. Hopefully I can figure out who it is quickly though.
