went to check on her this morning, she's looking much better got most of the hard tissue out of the vent today, and put some more triple antibiotic on all of the affected area. here's a couple of pics,first pic is before cleaning. after cleaning having already applied the ointment.

yeah i saw some pictures about that, i just finished cleaning all of the pens and it's been a little cooler lately first frost might be this friday for me, so im hoping that won't be an issue.
im going to wait and see what the changes are in the morning, then proceed from there, a full farm unfortunately time is a factor when treating one chicken, i just don't like putting animals to the axe out of apathy. I really appreciate the info i'll report my findings soon.

Thank you , first thing I did really was soak her until I could crumble apart the blockage with my fingers. I won't give her the medicated chick feed if it's pointless. I'll take more pictures later today.
