    Why have chickens?

    I have 14 red sex links and they love to folow me around when I am picking rocks. They stand beside my leg untill I lift up the next rock and then watch out bugs.

    Heads UP

    Snow and temp dropping to -7 with 50 mph wind gust. My girls and I are in need of some warmth and sunshine. Every one is laying well despite the cold winter.

    I just picked up six year old red sexlinks that had been with a rooster and most of there backs are bare and they have stopped laying since being moved.. My question is will there feathers grow back be for they molt and will they start laying again be for molting. Thank you

    How long will this last. Egg sales are dropping off because of these spots. Is this more common with brown eggs. thank you

    I have 20 sexlinks that are one year old and my eggs are getting spots on the yokes. My hens are laying 18=20 eggs every day. Could the stress from the cold and egg production cause this. Thank you Dale
