    One baby is out! and another 2 have started zipping Hubby called and said he hasn't forgotten the batteries this time, so hopefully in a few hours I'll get some pics taken and posted Mama is being so sweet to her babies, it's just adorable

    #1 has hatched and is drying under mama, #2 has started zipping and there are 2 that have pipped the other 3 aren't pipped, but I'm sure all the commotion under mama will wake them up hopefully they're still alive.

    July 13, 2011 Hatch Day! STARTED!!!!

    Congrats everyone, I hope mine start hatching soon.. I lost the mama hen ( my favorite little Henny ) of a couple of the eggs that are under broody today (predator attack last night/early morning I'm guessing)... So I'm hoping for something good to happen soon..

I'm running on like an hour of sleep combined because yesterday my lab got into some cooked chicken bones, shredded them up and both the lab and the pug ate them.     Ok so I couldn't help myself last night and I candled the remaining 7 and I saw chickie feet! They're all super active and kicking Thought I'd share, mama hen even seemed happy. I let her watch too and she didn't growl, she just made some gentle cooing noises at them NOW hopefully hubby...

    OK Down to 7 eggs now, had 2 quitters but the rest show lots of movement and strong veining so I'm gonna try to leave them alone until the 15th. Although they do look a little bigger than I think they should at 13 days, so maybe they'll be coming early.

    Just thought I'd pop in and say hi and congrats to all the expectant and new parents here . Hubby and I will be trying here in about 2 years (sooner if I get my way lol) so I'm sure I'll be on here at one point or another.
