    Nest entry ended up about 27in above ground. Planned it to be somewhat lower but didn't account for the front lip of my box. Too high without a step? Also, it's not fixed in place yet. going to redo the hinge and door again so it can stay in the open position. Another oversight.

    Doorway faces West, roughly. I will put doors up with hardware cloth, then cover them for the winter. I have been told by friends around here that I don't need to worry about insulating the building. You don't think ladder roosts present problems with pecking order/aggression/crowding?
