Hi, thank you! He was just over a year old when I got him - he's about 18 months now. We are his third owners. Never any problems before (his second owner is a good friend/former professor so I know this is odd behavior for him). I'm thinking it's what Iomine said. I'm so sorry to hear about...
Thanks for your concern but please spare the lecture. Not once did I say I was scared r that I screamed. I came here trying to figure out his behavior, not to be told that I'm doing something wrong based on your very incorrect assumption.
Ahhh yes! Mating season, that makes sense. Thank you.
Have you ever seen a duck charge, btw? It's pretty hilarious. He just puffs out his feathers and tries to waddle really fast
Hi, our mallard drake has become increasingly territorial in the past week. Before he loved being petted and would eat out of our hands. There are two possible reasons for his change in behavior:
1. Last week I picked up his bonded mate and held her for longer than I usually do. I just had her...
Hi cdlord, I would also like to suggest trying to make one yourself. Murdoch's has nice designs BUT they are overpriced and cheaply made. There are some fantastic plans on BYC that can help you maximize your coop for less money. DH and I built ours based on a design from here and it ended up...
What a beautiful pup! How did you train him to guard them? I know Border Collies have instinctual herding and protective-of-flock instincts; I'm just worried about our dog. He is a lab/boxer mix and great with other dogs. Any other animal though? That's lunch.
Hi! If you haven't found someone yet, I can recommend my husband. I know, not much better than Craigslist, but he is a pretty fabulous carpenter. I can show you some of the work he's done. Of course...I should probably ask him if he's interested first. Buuuuut oh well.
Thought I'd share a little update of Thelma and Louise. They are now 8 days old and today they had their first swim! They have been flipping over their water container the past day or two and my husband says, "They're in their adolescence! They're hooligans!" LOL!
Thelma and Louise are now eight days old and they are bored, I think. They have started flipping over their water source. Today we let them go for their first swim and they were definitely not sure at first but then they didn't want me to take them out! I think they might be annoyed with me...
