    hen with swollen throat between waddles, any clue to what this is?

    RI hen 8months old has a swollen throat ( feels fluidy) between waddles. Warm to touch, doesn't seem to bother her. Eating and drinking normally. Waddles purplish. Anyone have a clue what this is?

    New chicken owners

    Husband calls me a few weeks ago," Do you still want a few chickens?" "Sure, I want a few." He came home with 37 chicks. Now the proud owner of RI Reds, Australorps, Black sex links and Barred Rocks. I, in turn, bought him 12 B.B. Reds bantys. Having fun and loving every minute of it.
