    Does rubbing the comb with Vaseline, when you know the weather will be super cold, help prevent frostbite?

    Thank you for this article. I do heat the coop when the weather is really freezing, like below zero F. We use the flat heaters that go on the wall. I also rub Vaseline on the combs of my leghorn and Ancona roosters. It has helped.

    My pullet has been vaccinated against Mareks. She has wry neck syndrome. I thought there might be way to stop the head spinning. She is on vitamin therapy and separated from the others. I feel so bad for her.

    Wow, I had some black Minorcas from Tommy Stanley. They were beautiful, big with nice combs. My male, Charlemagne, won Champion Mediterranean at the Sussex show some years ago. I wish I still had them. Good black Minorcas are difficult to find.
