    North to Alaska!

My deal is I don’t graduate until 2029 and graduate college like 2033, so once I get enough money to do it (hopefully mainly from auctioneering) I’d be able to move there and stay maybe 5 or so years depending on if I fall in love and never want to leave. The plan is I’m gonna get a degree in...

    Can hens have stds

I’ve only ever been able to keep this one rooster alive but he has been in my flock for like 3 years, every time I get another rooster it dies but the hens don’t, all I can think of is that they have stds and when they get mated with they give them to the rooster.

Alaskan chicken keepers, how do you do it

I currently live in SE Oklahoma and I’m thinking about moving to Juneau area in 7 years or so after college, but the thing is, winter weather can be so bad I don’t think chickens would do well, even cold hardy breeds. I don’t really want to give up chicken keeping but I just don’t see it...

Day 24 candling “Chineas” (brown leghorn roo x lavender Guinea hen)

Yes I know, I made a mistake opening it this late into incubation but I didn’t learn not to until now and it’s already back to 75% humidity after 5 minutes. Ive got movement and it’s this dark can any of you estimate how long until they hatch (color guesses would be cool too so here’s mom and...
