Hey everyone,
Anyone know if the Delmont TSC swap is still on for tomorrow? Was curious if they would start cancelling the swaps here with the H5N2 outbreaks looming overhead.
Thanks!
Hmm, that's what I was afraid of. The pictures make the mix's comb look more red than it actually is, but it still seems too developed to be a pullet. The cochin's comb is actually more red around the base than the wyandotte mix. I also had a Lt. Brahma hen develop quickly like this as well, so...
The white chick is a mix with a rose comb. Should be almost four weeks old. I've heard that wyandottes mature early which is why I'm still hoping this is a hen. :P
The black and white chick is a mottled Cochin bantam and it may be five or six weeks old, not sure. If you think you know, please...
Haha yeah! Those ones. I think I'm going to start hatching more for swaps and stuff. I didn't know people would even be interested in them.
Also that whole thing today was really cool. It's nice to see a bunch of people all interested in farm stuff come together for a local event. Everyone was...
Hi again from Apollo,
Did my first hatch of shipped eggs and it went terribly. Half of them got scrambled in the mail and they all had wonky air cells. None hatched. :s so if anyone is hatching wheaten or blue wheaten ameraucanas, I'd love to get a few.
Thanks!
Hey PA peoples! I started hatching recently and had a 100% hatch on seven eggs. Now I've got four little porcelain bantam cockerels left that I'm looking to find homes for. If anyone is interested or knows anyone who might be, let me know! Thanks! For reference, I'm near pittsburgh.
I have four of these little guys left; three were hatched on february 21st and the other one was hatched on December 24th. The mother is a Booted Bantam and the father is a Belgian d'Uccles. Both are porcelain so all the babies are too. :) Local pickup only, 2 dollars each. Thanks!

Out of curiosity, if you bought a pair of these $5000 chickens, how much would you sell chicks for?
The color is positively gorgeous and I wish I was one of those wealthy people who could afford these crazy-expensive chickens.
I just saw a cat get hit by a car out in front of my house. It's still alive, but its leg looks dislocated from the hip, or broken. She crawled under a parked car and we can't reach her. Do you guys have any ideas? We tried to call animal control, but every shelter or whatever in our area is...
