    Bresse Chickens

    Whenever I go to France, I ALWAYS order a Bresse chicken when I see it on the menu. They are great tasting birds. I asked around to try and get some eggs, and was politely told that it was impossible. The French are rightfully protective and proud of these excellent meat birds. R

    The middle chicken (with her back to us) is a Gold Laced Wyandotte. The spangled one with the beard to the right of her is a Russian Orloff. I am not zoned for any chickens, so I have to ignore my "callings" to add more breeds. I never dreamed that chickens would be such fun pets! R
