I'm not fast enough with the gun. I use a product called "Predator Eye". Since I installed a set of them in the yard have not had fox, coyote, coons or cats in the yard. As this is a night deterrent it will not work in daylight.

wormed my girls yesterday, 19 hens and 1 rooster thought it would be more difficult. my girls are not used to being held. I notice Chester was limping this morning he did not want to be held and we may have pulled a leg muscel while he and I danced.
I have 18 hens and 1 rooster, I have 3 girls that want to go broody and i will let them about mid January. the girls can be strong willed and will behave when they know who is in charge. they watch every thing in their yard and around it , they have a pare tree in their yard and keep the squirls...
cats will eat chicken as often as they will eat birds, I have lost 5 birds to local cats in the last 9 months, I have live traps setup to catch the cats/oposum/racoon, this year I have relocated 4 untaged cats, 1 oposum, My girls are in a fenced area and have a rooster to give them a heads up...
